How much does joining eLink cost? |
| A. |
eLink does not require any payment before dating with a successful match begins. In other words, the personality profile, online classes, and matching, are free services. Only when you wish to begin contact with a successful match will a fee will be charged. At the present time, members in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand will be charged $30 USD; members in other regions will be charged $20 USD.

What are the effective dates of my payment? |

The valid period of time for a payment is three months after both parties agree to begin “Indirect Contact”. If you terminate contact during this period of time and hope to begin contact with another suitable match, you do not need to make another payment. In other words, if you have made a payment, but have not had any suitable matches agree to contact, the period of time will not begin to count.

Is it safe to pay via PayPal? Can I pay without having a PayPal account? |
| A. |
eLink uses PayPal's online payment system. PayPal provides the most reliable system of online payments, and is also the most widely used system across the US and the world. Thus, you can be assured that the payment system is secure. As long as your credit card is valid, regardless of country or region of issue, you can use PayPal to complete the transaction. No pre-existing PayPal account is necessary.

Can I request a refund of my payment? |

We regret to inform you that we do not accept requests for refunds. Generally, eLink services are free of charge; even the fee charged before contact is established is very economical. As a result, we are unable to refund payments. If you have made a payment, but have not yet begun contact with a suitable match, the valid period of time will not begin to count. If you have entered into a stage of contact already, the payment you have made will last for a set period of time. If you have special circumstances and require our assistance, please contact us by email or telephone and we will gladly do our best to assist you.

Why is the message “Not Yet Determined” displayed as the valid dates of my payment? |
| A. |
A message of “Not Yet Determined” indicates that you have elected to initiate contact with your match and have already made a payment, but are now waiting for your match's response. The effective period of time covered by your payment is three months, starting from the day your match responds affirmatively to your request for contact initiating. In other words, the time spent waiting for a response from your match will not be counted against you. However, once the effective starting date has been determined, the status of your contact with your match will not change your effective period.

Why is a message stating “No suitable dating match at this time” displayed? |
| A. |
If you have not been able to successfully make a match, please first examine the information in your “Basic Information” and “Matching Preferences” sections (especially the age and physical height parameters) and ensure they are correct. If the information is correct but a suitable match still cannot be found, please try expanding the criteria of your dating match search to improve your chances of successfully finding a dating match. Can I be “re-matched”? |

Yes! However, eLink requires that each member to undergo “Direct Contact” with only one match at a time. If you would like to initiate our re-matching service, please first cordially terminate your first “Direct Courtship” to enable re-matching. Once certain about initiating a re-match, please use the link provided below to confirm your information; the system will then inform your current match of this change.

How can I find a new match? |

After you have completed your personal information and questionnaires, based on this information and your matching preferences, eLink will find the match in our databases that is most suitable for you. If you have not yet initiated eLink's matching service, please begin through the link provided below.

When I initiate the matching service, how many suitable results will eLink provide me with? |

If there are multiple suitable matches for you, we will list a maximum of five for you to choose from. If you select the “Do not display this match in the future” option, this match will no longer appear in your suitable match list. We advise you to take careful consideration before making this choice, however, as this action cannot be reverted, and it is not guaranteed that there will immediately be other suitable matches for you.

After initiating a match, more than one suitable match is displayed; however, the same ones are always displayed. How can I have some new matches displayed for me to choose from? |

In the information page of each of your suitable matches, there is a “Do not display this match in the future” option. If you select the “Do not display this match in the future” option, this match will no longer appear in your suitable match list. We advise you to take careful consideration before making this choice, however, as this action cannot be reverted, and it is not guaranteed that there will immediately be other suitable matches for you.

After I register, if I am not ready for matching, can I choose to temporarily be withheld from being matched? |

You certainly can! You can use the link provided below to enter your personal information webpage, and under “Member Status” choose “Not Ready for Matching”. Our systems will then refrain from entering you into matching procedures.

Why must I complete the questionnaire before I begin the matching services? |

We sincerely hope that through the eight types of questionnaires designed by eLink host Dr. Kaofang Yeh, we can help you understand yourself better and build correct marriage concepts. In addition, the questionnaire forms a basis for us to find the most suitable match for you. Accordingly, please complete each question honestly and responsibly. After completing your questionnaire, if necessary, you can modify the information to reflect your present situation, and start the matching analysis and service.

Given that eLink was designed by a Christian organization, are there religious restrictions for members? |
| A. |
eLink is a singles dating website designed with Christian values as a foundation. Nevertheless, we welcome singles from all religions to register as members, without religious restrictions. When you complete your Matching Preferences, we will provide you with detailed criteria on religion for you to choose from, to ensure that the members we match for you meet your hopes and needs of religion. Of course, we ask that you complete your religious information in detail, as this will have a significant effect on your match results.

How do I initiate a dating relationship with eLink? |

To ensure the honesty and sincerity of both parties, and to protect personal privacy, rights and interests, the matching process for members is divided into two stages: “Indirect Contact” and “Direct Contact”. For detailed information, please refer to the instructions in the respective sections.

What is “Indirect Contact”? |
| A. |
During “Indirect Contact”, each of the two matched members must confirm three times that they are in a good relationship, submit personal contact information, and gradually release this information to each other three times, in order to initiate indirect communication. “Indirect Contact” information is submitted in the “Dating Information” section of “My Information”. Every question in each round of communication must be answered before it can be released to a member's match.

What is “Direct Contact”? |

After the three stages of “Indirect Contact” have been completed, if both parties are interested in proceeding to the next stage of communication, they can continue to use their preferred methods of communication to proceed with “Direct Contact”. If both members are interested, they can initiate in-person contact. Information for “Direct Contact” is located in the “Personal Information” section of the “My Information” page and can be modified there. Personal contact information, as well as an uploaded personal picture, may be provided for your match to view.

Can I simultaneously be in contact with more than one match? |
| A. |
In the “Indirect Contact” stage, you can simultaneously interact with up to five members; however, when you enter the “Direct Contact” stage, the eLink service will automatically terminate your “Indirect Contact” with other members. eLink will allow you to enter into a “Direct Courtship” with only one member at a time, to protect the rights and interests of all of our members.

I chose “Select Contact” to begin the “Indirect Contact” stage with a suitable match, but I cannot start the contact process. What is wrong? |

First, congratulations on eLink finding a suitable match for you! You must wait for your match to agree to begin the courtship process. When you choose to begin to “Choose Matches”, eLink automatically sends an email notification to your potential match, inquiring whether he/she is willing to begin contact. Please patiently await your potential match's response.

Can I simultaneously have “Indirect Contact” with one match, and “Direct Contact” with another? |
| A. |
Once you begin “Direct Contact” with a match, he/she will become your sole contact. The suitable match search and “Indirect Contact” functions will be disabled, unless you decide to terminate your “Direct Contact”.

Can I terminate a relationship with a match during the “Contact Matching” or “Indirect Contact” stage? How do I do so? |

You can submit a “Terminate Contact” request at any time during the “Indirect Contact” stage. On the page accessed by the link provided below, you can select “Terminate Relationship”. Our systems will then send your match an email to notify him/her that you have chosen to terminate the relationship.

Yes, you can choose which items of information and/or contact information (e.g. email, telephone number, address) your match can see. Please use the link below to specify these options. Where can I see my match's “Indirect Contact” information? |

If you currently have a match you are in contact with, the following link will display the contact information that your match has released. Please select the information you would like to release under “Release My Contact Information.”

What information about myself is public? Can other eLink members see my personal information? |

None of your information may be viewed by other members. Only when a successful dating match is made will eLink allow your dating match to view information, such as your last name, address, faith, occupation, height, year and month of birth, for reference purposes. You may also choose whether to have a photograph of yourself or your Personality Profile report, to provide additional reference information to your match. If you have already progressed to the “Direct Contact” stage, you can also choose a preferred method of contact to provide your match.

I forgot my account password; how can I retrieve it? |

After I register, can I delete my personal information? |

We regret to learn that you are considering deleting your eLink personal information. Our system does allow you to make this choice; however, please be aware that once you have completed this action, all of your information, questionnaire analysis, and contact records will be completely deleted and is unrecoverable. In addition, you will no longer enjoy any eLink member benefits. Please make this decision carefully. If, in the future, you wish to become a member again, you will need to register with a different email address than the one you used before.

Can I register and enter information for a family member or a friend? |

We do not recommend that you do so. eLink requires that each member honestly complete all information and questionnaires. In order to ensure the accuracy, correctness and completeness of our matching systems, please do not register or complete information or questions for anyone besides yourself. Thank you for your cooperation.

Can I register on eLink under a false name or a pseudonym? |

eLink requires that all members register under true names and complete all related personal information truthfully, to protect the rights and interests of all eLink members. Please be aware that if you register under a false name and subsequently successfully find a dating match, there will be unnecessary complications during later stages of dating for you and your match which could have been avoided.

Is it required to have a “Personal Photograph”? What are the requirements? |

The “Personal Photograph” is not required; however, we recommend that you take advantage of this function as much as possible. You can upload a maximum of three pictures, but can choose only one as your public picture (e.g. that which is displayed to possible suitable matches). Please do not upload photographs that were taken too long ago, to avoid unnecessary complications during latter stages of dating. Photographs must be of the JPG or JPEG file format, and cannot exceed 3 MB (3,145,728 bytes) each, or they will not be displayed. I registered on the Chinese version of eLink; can I use the English version as well? |

Yes, you can. The Chinese versions (both Traditional and Simplified) of eLink use the same system as the English version. After registering as a member, you can choose either language to complete the questionnaire, search for information, or choose the preferred language of your match for contact and communication.
